All Saints & Souls Kids Procession at ALL Masses on Saturday, November 1 & Sunday, November 2
ALL SAINTS & SOULS DAY: All children are invited to join a special procession at the start of Mass, dressed as a Favorite Catholic Saint (like St. Francis, St. Joseph, etc.), or a Loved One who has passed away - someone your family is praying is in Heaven.
All Saints & Souls Kids Procession at ALL Masses on Saturday, November 1 & Sunday, November 2: Children are to gather at the back of the church before Mass begins. When the entrance procession starts the children will process in. As children reach the front of the altar they are to turn and face the congregation. Once Father Michael reaches the front of the altar, they will turn back to facing the altar and bow, then return quietly to sit with their families. At the end of Mass the children will receive a special blessing in thanksgiving for their participation and in honor of the saints they represent.
COSTUME TIPS: Keep it simple! Robes, veils, tunics, crosses, flowers, halos, or a name tag with “St.______” will do! Please avoid costumes that are scary, gory, or that glorify death, witchcraft, the occult, or anything unholy.

Makayla was received into the Catholic Church during Mass on Tuesday, October 21st at St. Patrick Church in Tama. She was sealed in the Holy Spirit through the Sacrament of Confirmation and received her First Communion. Makayla and Tony Carrera Castanon will be married on Saturday, Oct. 25th.

All Saints Day & All Souls Day—The first 2 days of November give us the opportunity to pray together and honor
those who have gone before us. (All Saints Day is on a Saturday this year, therefore it is NOT a Holy Day of
obligation).

On Saturday, November 1, we will celebrate All Saints Day, at an 8 AM bilingual Mass at St. Patrick.
November 2 is All Souls Day. Praying for the dead is an important part of our identity as Catholics. All Souls
Day memorial funds collected will go towards the cemeteries of our Cluster so that we may carry out the Corporal
Work of Mercy of caring for the graves of our brothers and sisters (the Cluster cemetery accounts are separate from
parish accounts - they are set up to provide ongoing support for perpetual care).
Envelopes will be available this weekend. The names submitted on the envelopes will be remembered on All Souls Day. The names will be kept at
the altar at each parish during the month of November. Those wanting their names kept at SJ or SM may write that on the envelope.

Día de Todos los Santos y Día de los Fieles Difuntos: Los primeros dos días de noviembre nos brindan la oportunidad de orar juntos y honrar a quienes nos precedieron. (Este año, el Día de Todos los Santos cae en sábado, por lo que NO es un día de precepto).
El sábado 1 de noviembre celebraremos el Día de Todos los Santos con una misa bilingüe a las 8:00 a. m. en la iglesia de San Patricio.
El 2 de noviembre es el Día de los Fieles Difuntos. Orar por los difuntos es una parte importante de nuestra identidad como católicos. Los fondos conmemorativos recaudados para el Día de los Fieles Difuntos se destinarán a los cementerios de nuestra Agrupación para que podamos llevar a cabo la Obra Corporal de Misericordia de cuidar las tumbas de nuestros hermanos y hermanas (las cuentas de los cementerios de la Agrupación son independientes de las cuentas parroquiales; están creadas para brindar apoyo continuo para el cuidado perpetuo).
Los sobres estarán disponibles este fin de semana. Los nombres que figuren en los sobres serán recordados el Día de los Fieles Difuntos. Los nombres se guardarán al pie del altar de cada parroquia durante el mes de noviembre. Aquellos que deseen que sus nombres se conserven en San José o San Miguel pueden escribirlo en su sobre.

IMPORTANT UPDATE CONCERNING
SCHEDULING MASS INTENTIONS
Archbishop Zinkula has asked not to schedule any Masses after July 1, 2026, because we do not yet know which churches will be used for weekend and daily Mass. New pastorates will be able to schedule Masses in late spring of 2026 after the new Mass schedule is determined. As a reminder, the new Mass schedule beginning July 1, 2026 will be created by the outgoing and incoming pastors in May-June 2026.

Baptism is necessary for salvation. "Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: "Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word." (Catechism of the Catholic Church 1213)
