Envelopes are available this month at the entries to our churches. The names submitted on the envelopes will be remembered at Mass throughout the month. The envelopes will be kept at the altar at each parish during November. Those wanting their names kept at SJ or SM may write that on the envelope. The offerings received will help support our cemeteries.

Los sobres estarán disponibles este fin de semana. Los nombres que figuren en los sobres serán recordados el Día de los Fieles Difuntos. St. Patrick CCW Ladies — Annual Soldier Project: Supporting men and women with local ties who are currently serving overseas. The unit we are assisting is stationed in the Middle East and will not be home for the holidays. A donation box will be located in the CCW closet and clearly marked “For the Soldiers.” Suggested items include cash donations to assist with postage,, chips and snack items, flavored water add-ins, crossword and word-search books, beef sticks, crochet kits, or ramen noodles. These are only a few ideas—any thoughtful items are welcome. For questions or additional information, please contact Diane Nowak at (641) 751-3960. IMPORTANT UPDATE CONCERNING

SCHEDULING MASS INTENTIONS

Archbishop Zinkula has asked not to schedule any Masses after July 1, 2026, because we do not yet know which churches will be used for weekend and daily Mass. New pastorates will be able to schedule Masses in late spring of 2026 after the new Mass schedule is determined. As a reminder, the new Mass schedule beginning July 1, 2026 will be created by the outgoing and incoming pastors in May-June 2026.

El arzobispo Zinkula ha pedido no programar ninguna misa después del 1 de julio del 2026, porque aún no sabemos qué iglesias se utilizarán para la misa de fin de semana y diaria. Los nuevos pastorados podrán programar misas a fines de la primavera del 2026 después de que se determine el nuevo horario de misas.

Considering Baptism?

If you or someone you know is discerning the Sacrament of Baptism, we invite you to attend our next Baptism Preparation Class on Saturday, December 6 at 9 AM in the St. Patrick Church Library with Deacon Stan Upah and Cynthia Guadiana.

This session offers an opportunity to learn more about the meaning of Baptism and take the first step toward Heaven.

Baptism is necessary for salvation. "Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: "Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word." (Catechism of the Catholic Church 1213)
