- SJ/SM Knights Pancake Breakfast will be on Sunday, January 18 from 8 AM - 12 PM at St. Michael parish hall. Everyone is invited. Free-will donation.
- St. Patrick date night will be Sunday, January 18 at 5:30 PM in the parish cafeteria. Please RSVP for daycare at (641) 484-3646.
- St. Patrick Knights meal will be on Sunday, January 25 after 10:30 AM Mass. All are invited, free will donation.

IMPORTANT UPDATE CONCERNING
SCHEDULING MASS INTENTIONS
Archbishop Zinkula has asked not to schedule any Masses after July 1, 2026, because we do not yet know which churches will be used for weekend and daily Mass. New pastorates will be able to schedule Masses in late spring of 2026 after the new Mass schedule is determined.
As a reminder, the new Mass schedule beginning July 1, 2026 will be created by the outgoing and incoming pastors in May-June 2026.
Mass Stipends Update
as of Janunary 1, 2026:
the voluntary offering for a Mass intention is now $10. There is no change for Masses already scheduled. This offering is not “buying” Masses, but a way for the faithful to unite themselves to the sacrifice of the Mass and support the Church’s ministers.
El arzobispo Zinkula ha pedido no programar ninguna misa después del 1 de julio del 2026, porque aún no sabemos qué iglesias se utilizarán para la misa de fin de semana y diaria. Los nuevos pastorados podrán programar misas a fines de la primavera del 2026 después de que se determine el nuevo horario de misas.
Actualización sobre las ofrendas para misas a partir del 1 de enero de 2026: la ofrenda voluntaria por una intención de misa es ahora de $10. No hay cambios para las misas ya programadas. Esta ofrenda no significa «comprar» misas, sino que es una forma en que los fieles se unen al sacrificio de la Misa y apoyan a los ministros de la Iglesia.

If you or someone you know is discerning the Sacrament of Baptism, we invite you to attend our next Baptism Preparation Class on Saturday, February 7 at 9 AM in the St. Patrick Church Library with Deacon Stan Upah and Cynthia Guadiana.
This session offers an opportunity to learn more about the meaning of Baptism and take the first step toward Heaven.

Baptism is necessary for salvation. "Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: "Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word." (Catechism of the Catholic Church 1213)

ACTUALIZACIÓN IMPORTANTE SOBRE
LA PROGRAMACIÓN DE INTENCIONES DE MISA
El arzobispo Zinkula ha pedido no programar ninguna misa después del 1 de julio de 2026, porque aún no sabemos qué iglesias se utilizarán para la misa de fin de semana y diaria. Los nuevos pastorados podrán programar misas a fines de la primavera de 2026 después de que se determine el nuevo horario de misas. Como recordatorio, el nuevo horario de misas a partir del 1 de julio de 2026 será creado por los párrocos salientes y entrantes en mayo-junio de 2026.
