In honor of the 800th anniversary of St. Francis of Assisi, all are invited to a three-night retreat exploring his deep love for the Gospel, the Eucharist, and the Church—and how his radical holiness can shape our own lives today. February 22–24 at 6:30pm at St. Henry Church in Marshalltown, led by Fr. Columba Jordan CFR, Franciscan priest, international retreat leader and featured speaker with Ascension Press.

Each night includes inspiring preaching, music, and opportunities for prayer.
✨ Continuous Eucharistic Adoration available from Sunday night through Tuesday.

If you or someone you know is discerning the Sacrament of Baptism, we invite you to attend our next Baptism Preparation Class on Saturday, February 7 at 9 AM in the St. Patrick Church Library with Deacon Stan Upah and Cynthia Guadiana.

This session offers an opportunity to learn more about the meaning of Baptism and take the first step toward Heaven.

Baptism Registration Form

Baptism is necessary for salvation. "Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: "Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word." (Catechism of the Catholic Church 1213)

IMPORTANT UPDATE CONCERNING

SCHEDULING MASS INTENTIONS

Archbishop Zinkula has asked not to schedule any Masses after July 1, 2026, because we do not yet know which churches will be used for weekend and daily Mass. New pastorates will be able to schedule Masses in late spring of 2026 after the new Mass schedule is determined.

As a reminder, the new Mass schedule beginning July 1, 2026 will be created by the outgoing and incoming pastors in May-June 2026.

Mass Stipends Update

as of Janunary 1, 2026:

the voluntary offering for a Mass intention is now $10. There is no change for Masses already scheduled. This offering is not “buying” Masses, but a way for the faithful to unite themselves to the sacrifice of the Mass and support the Church’s ministers.

El arzobispo Zinkula ha pedido no programar ninguna misa después del 1 de julio del 2026, porque aún no sabemos qué iglesias se utilizarán para la misa de fin de semana y diaria. Los nuevos pastorados podrán programar misas a fines de la primavera del 2026 después de que se determine el nuevo horario de misas.
